About the MRPA Board
The Board of Directors consists of thirteen (13) members elected by the professional membership for three year terms. All board members shall assume office at the time of inauguration.
(1) President. The President-Elect from the previous year assumes the duties of President for a one-year term. The President is the chief elected officer of the Association.
(2) President-Elect. Elected by the professional members of the Association for a one-year term as and serves the following year as President.
(3) Past-President. Assumes this position for a one-year term following their term as President.
(4) Secretary.
(5) Treasurer..
(6) Regional Directors. Elected from the region they represent by region members
(a) East Metro. Representatives from Anoka, Dakota, Ramsey, and Washington Counties.
(b) West Metro. Representatives from Carver, Hennepin, and Scott Counties.
(c) Northern Region. Representatives from Aitkin, Becker, Beltrami, Benton, Big Stone, Carlton, Cass, Chippewa, Chisago, Clay, Clearwater, Cook, Crow Wing, Douglas, Grant, Hubbard, Isanti, Itasca, Kanabec, Kandiyohi, Kittson, Koochiching, Lac Qui Parle, Lake, Lake of the Woods, Mahnomen, Marshall, McCleod, Meeker, Mille Lacs, Morrison, Norman, Otter Tail, Pennington, Pine, Polk, Pope, Red Lake, Renville, Roseau, Saint Louis, Sherburne, Sibley, Stearns, Stevens, Swift, Todd, Traverse, Wadena, Wilkin, Wright and Yellow Medicine. (e) Southern Region. Representatives from Blue Earth, Brown, Cottonwood, Dodge, Faribault, Fillmore, Freeborn, Goodhue, Houston, Jackson, Le Sueur, Lincoln, Lyon, Martin, Mower, Murray, Nicollet, Nobles, Olmsted, Pipestone, Redwood, Rice, Rock, Steele, Wabasha, Waseca, Winona, and Watonwan Counties.
(f) RSC Chair.
(g) At-Large. Three (3) members.

MRPA Election for the Board of Directors and Recreational Sports Commission
The Past-President shall serve as the Chair of the Nominations and Elections Committee and oversee the annual election process for the MRPA Board of Directors and the and the Recreational Sports Commission (RSC). Only professional members in good standing are eligible to vote in the election.
