This workshop will set the stage by establishing the what, the how, and why park and recreation administrators need to increase their financial, analytical, and professional acumen for the benefit of their organizations. Participants will begin by building a foundation upon the most relevant financial principles and considerations to the park and recreation field. From there, participants will discover tangible strategies for analyzing data and information which will be used to enhance critical thinking and decision making. Finally, we will conclude by tying learned concepts together on how to execute influential narratives to bring forth recommendations to staff and elected officials.
