Corporate Membership Structure

MRPA recently modified its membership dues structure for corporate, agencies, and professionals. We now want to personally connect with you to provide additional background information on the structure review, and also share how the old and new structures compare.

The MRPA Board of Directors formed a committee to review the dues structure and research examples of other non-profit membership models. The goals for this review were twofold: (a) to simplify membership options for an easier process that would further encourage involvement; and (b) to grow overall membership allowing MRPA to provide valuable benefits while remaining committed to offering affordable programs.

The current corporate membership structure has three levels at the following rates: gold at $1,075; silver at $575; and bronze at $375. The review committee reached-out to a sampling of corporate members to gain their feedback on considerations before making a recommendation to the Board to ensure a new system was one that was valuable and supported.

The Board adopted the committee’s recommendation for a new structure featuring one membership option rather than the three-level system. The new rate is $550, and is effective for the 2018 membership year. The Board also approved the 2019 rate so corporate members may plan ahead, and that rate will be $560 for 2019.

Membership benefits for 2018 will include the following:

  • Two mailing lists (sets of labels) or two email blasts coordinated with the MRPA office
  • Member discount for MRPA Annual Conference Exhibit Hall
  • Listed within the online member guide
  • Listed within the MRPA member quarterly magazine, and member discount for advertising
