Scholarship and Grant Program

The Minnesota Recreation and Parks Foundation is dedicated to support recreation and parks through professional development and research for the purpose of enhancing the quality of life.

The Minnesota Recreation and Park Foundation's Professional Enrichment Grant Program is intended to provide financial assistance to professionals working in the field of recreation and parks for attendance at advanced academic courses, workshops, special institutes or seminars for purposes of professional enhancement.

The Minnesota Recreation and Park Foundation is pleased to announce information on the 2008 MRPF Student Scholarship Program. The Scholarship Program provides financial assistance to juniors, seniors and graduate students majoring in a Minnesota accredited four-year curriculum with a park and recreation emphasis. The Scholarship Program includes up to three $1,000 scholarships each year. The deadline for submitting scholarship application materials is October 31, 2008.

The MRPF Student Scholarship Program is made possible through donations from corporations and the Minnesota Recreation and Park Foundation (MRPF). The MRPF Scholarship Program has been created to promote and enable excellence in the field of park and recreation. The Scholarship Program provides financial assistance to juniors, seniors and graduate students majoring in a Minnesota accredited four-year curriculum with a park and recreation emphasis. Applicants must display excellence in their abilities, leadership qualities, job experience, and commitment to the park and recreation field. The Scholarship Program includes up to three, $1,000 scholarships per year.
