MRPA Leadership Academy Celebrates 15 Graduates
The Leadership Academy celebration was held on April 22, 2009 at Brooklyn Park Recreation and Parks. Fifteen participants went through the Academy which was held one day a month for six months and includedfacilitator-led instruction, presentations by parks and recreation professionals, peer coaching and experiential learning.

Design Institute a Success!
Minnesota Park and Recreation held the Design Institute on April 21-22, 2009 at Oakdale Discovery Center. The program provided parks and recreation professionals and with a more detailed understanding of the issues involved in park master plan development.

MRPA held the Disney Institute: The Disney Keys to Excellence.
There were 170 people in attendace at the program on April 30 at the Plymouth Creek Center. The curriculum focused on four components: leadership, management, customer service, and loyalty.
